Mar 4, 2019 · Doesn't look right to me. I dropped the coroplast on my previous trailer and it was a bear to get it back in place. Like Marcy said, it looks like somebody has been in the underbelly and hastily reinstalled it. I'd contact GD customer service with photos available. I noticed something a bit different on our new 2020 315.

Dec 2, 2023 · When putting the coroplast back on you can attach one of the sides pretty easily. You will need something to support the middle of the coroplast so you can attach the other side with the aluminum strip. The support thing(s) needs to push the coroplast up to the trailer as close as possible. It allows you to attach the other side so much easier.

Jan 2, 2024 · When I need to go into the underbelly. all the fiberglass insulation is removed, and polisocronate board insulation is installed, then the coroplast is installed insections around 6'.The result is a far better insulated coach that I can easily remove a small section of to access whatever item needs attention.

To patch a hole when I relocated my battery vent I cut a square piece and after cleaning I used shower and bath silicone to stick it on, then used furnace duct screws (1/4 inch x 1/2 hex head) to hold it all together until the silicone set.

Oct 18, 2022 · I think there is more than one type of underbelly material. The Coraplast I have seen is smooth on the outside. The material on mu underbelly has a fabric like outer layer that is defiantly not smooth. I had to repair a cut in the material from the previous owners crapy repair job and found the tapes didn't work too well.
Question About Material Used on Roof and Underbelly
Dec 11, 2021 · In looking at the 17MKE at a dealer, I noticed the material used on the roof and underbelly seems to be very thin. I checked with the Grand Design. He told me the material on each area is very durable and that they know of no problems with debris hitting the underbelly and tearing it. I just wanted to check with others to see if this is true.

Sep 6, 2021 · The Gorilla tape 3" worked best for us as well. The tape designed to tape the coroplast only lasted about 1 month, it's been 3 years and the Gorilla tape is still holding. Our rear black tank valve was glued shut from the factory and the repairman cut a hole in the underbelly to fix it ,the unit was only two weeks old!!
